why is the upper part of all Green Leaves dark in colour than the underside of the leaf

The upper surface is more exposed to the sun. So this part is only mainly responsible for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis requires more chlorophyll and hence this upper part is more greenish (darker) then the lower part that is not exposed.
