why is the use of seed drill more advantageouss as compared to sowing seeds by broadcasting

Using a seed drill ....

1.) Helps the seeds to reach deep down the earth , which results in best yields

2.) Seeds get equal amounts of nutrition and air, water , sunlight and minerals by the process of seed drilling.

by using seed drill there is a uniform way of downing seeds if compared to broadcasting where all the seeds are spread whole of the field.
using seed drill also ensures that there is enough space b/w the seeds so that they wont compete for nutrients, water and sunlight.

by these points seed drill is more convenient than broadcasting...


but it's disadvantages are:

it is very costly.
always require fuel for working
cannot work in hilly areas.
requires large lands.
