why is the use of seed drill more advantages or compared to sowing seeds by broadcasting?

seed drill ensures that seeds are sown at proper distance.

but, when seeds are sown by broadcasting, seeds are not sown uniformly. it may happen that many seeds are sown at the same place or very few seeds are sown at a place. hence a seed drill is prefered for sowing seeds.
