why is the use of wood as a fuel not advisable although wood is a renewable source of energy?

because when we use wood as a fuel we will definitely have to cut trees which results in soil erosion etc

hi friend,
first of all the number of trees is rapidly decreasing.
wood contains cellulose in it which when burnt emits cabon dioxide, smoke as well as dust which enters atmosphere(air)causing pollution. After being burnt,the residue is ash.
