from this equation we can say that g depends on r every planet has different radius so every planet has different g

As the earth is not a perfect sphere, it is in the shape of an oval, the radius from the centre varies at the poles than at the equator. Therefore, the value of 'g' varies at the poles than at the equator. At the poles, its value is 9.8 m/s^2
