why is the water from rivers and wells not saline

The water from rivers and wells is not saline as in rivers, it is fresh water, (underground water) and the water from wells is not saline as the water is being drawn up from the ground and underground water is fresh and not saline.

water of the river and wells are not salain because rivers are origin from ice mountains ice melts and start flowing as rivers so no salinity here. and rain water is observed by ground and used as well water
