why is the water level not rising when sugar or salt is added to it? in addition to that why does the water level rises when we add salt or sugar to the saturated solution??

The water level didn't rise becaise the sugar or salt get dissolved in the spaces between the molecules of water. When we add sugar or salt to saturated solution then water level increases because the spaces between the molevules of water are filled.
