Why is the west Indies victory in the text series of 1950 considered an irony.Explain? 3 marks answer

The captain of the WI was also a white person and West indies' team had many nations combined together which had players from India , Pak , Bangladesh and as they won it meant that India , Pak , Bangdesh played better than whites.
