Why is the wire made of copper or aluminum and not of wood?

wire is made up of copper or aluminium beacuse these are good conductors of electricity as compared to wood.

☆we know that the metals are the good conductor of electricity ...thus are used as material to be used as wires....

☆But we know the fact that wood is an great insulator of electricity ...thus it cannot Conduct electricity ...thus it is not used as wire. ....
