Answer:
The word past is used as pasts in plural because everyone have their different pasts and it can’t be same for all. The pasts of royal family are different from the pasts of common people. The pasts of farmers are different from the landlords. In old days Kings and queens and the people who belong to the royal family used to keep the records of their victory but common people don’t keep their record of their family. Therefore past is different for different people so it is used as our pasts.
