why is the work done on an object moving with uniform circular motion zero

work = Fscos(theta)

when it is circular motion theta is 90° ...so work is zero

Hey Vsauce, Michael here!

Well to answer this question let's have a look at the basic definition of work.

If a force applied on a object displaces it then work is done.

BUT in circular motion displacement is zero so work done is zero.
