First of all, work done on an object makes no sense unless you specify the force whose work you are asking about or rather you ask for net work done.
But I assume that you are considering the work done by centripetal force (force acting on the body towards the center.
If you draw the radius vector to the body (or simply draw an arrow or a line towards the object from the center), it makes an angle of 90° with the direction of its instantaneous displacement as it seems to be moving tangentially at every moment of the uniform circular motion( its velocity is perpendicular to the radius vector). And the work done by a force is 0 if force on the object and its displacement are perpendicular.

because centripetal force acts on the body and it acts perpendicular to the displacement and we know cos90=0 so work done is 0
