Let me answer this question from an Indian Context.

In my answer, brown eggs that I refer here are Desi eggs and white eggs that I refer here are poultry eggs (as these two eggs are majorly commercialized in Indian market).

In general, brown eggs are 3/4th the size of white eggs and twice the cost of white eggs. Sometimes, brown eggs are available in the same size as that of white eggs too.
