Targeted anti-programs are the schemes which are formulated to affect poverty directly or indirectly. EG: NREGA, NFWP, PMRY, REGP, SGSY, PMGY, AAY, etc..
In many cases, the poor are not able to take advantage from the opportunities created by economic growth.
Moreover, the growth in the agricultural sector is much below expectations.
This has a direct bearing on poverty as a large number of poor people live in villages and are dependant on agriculture.
To overcome these problems, targeted anti-poverty measures are taken by the government.
