● Resources are limited.

● Resources are unevenly distributed.

● Resources are the fuels for future generations.

● In order to prevent wastage, resource planning is necessary.

There is a need of resource planning because :

1. Most of the resources we use today are non - renewable.

2. The present rate of consumption is more than the present rate of conservation.

3. We need to save them future generation.
Hence we need to accept the concept of sustainable development.
