Scientific naming of organisms is necessary because the name is unique and can be understood at any part of the world.
The rules followed by writing the scientific names are-
- The name of the Genus is written first beginning with a capital letter.
- The name of the species is written next in small letter.
- When typed, the name is written in italics.
- When written, both the names of the genus and species should be underlined separately.
