why is there a need to harness non convention source of energy ? give two main recourse

because of the following reason .
(1) The source of the energy like coal and petroleum etc are limited . the way they are used frequently, not produced . so they can end after some years .
(2) this non convention source of energy's are also harming the environment by the combustion of such hydrocarbons which produce a lot co2 and Co .
