why is there a need to harness non-conventional sources of energy​

As, fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, are present in a limited amount which and are likely to finish one day so the need for alternative sources of energy is essential.

Because the covential source of energy are very limited in quantity and if we use the fossil fuel at present speed then they will be exhaused in coming future

So there is need of harness the non conventional source of energy

Also the non conventional source of energy released no pollution or smoke
