There is a pressing need to use the non conventional sources of energy in India . India is lacking in oil and coal resources which would only last for other few years so there must be an alternate source . In this case we can take in concern the non conventional sources as India is rich in such resources for example India is a tropical country and is able to produce more solar energy.

Non-conventional sources of energy
Explanation:
There is an urgent need to use non-conventional sources of energy like solar energy, wind, tide, biomass and energy from waste material in India due to of the following reasons:
- The growing population of the country has led to increased consumption of energy, which has resulted in increased dependence on fossil fuels like coal and oil & gas.
- Oil and gas prices are consistently increasing, plus the oil reserves are slowly depleting around the world. This has created a sense of insecurity regarding the supply of such energy in the future. Energy supply is essential to support the growth of the nation's economy.
- The increased use of fossil fuels causes climate changes due to the emission of greenhouse gases. So many countries are looking for alternative energy sources in order to combat climate change.
