It is very sensitive to the climate soil type, irrigation , fertilizers, insects. Moreover, they require a lot of water for their growth so it need to be grown on a land where it can absorb maximum amount of water. Thus they only grow on the lands where temperature is favorably high.

here is ur ans...

Sugarcane is a kind of grass with thick stem. It grows to a height of about three meters or more. Sugar is stored in the stem of the sugarcane. Sugarcane probably originated in the Eastern Asia is found in the hot and humid climate and it requires temperature of about 20° to 26℃ and rainfall of about 150℃. It also requires level land and well drained fertile soil, there is no accumulation of water in the fields. So, there is hardly any growth in temperate grassland.
