why is there need for the search of alternative source of energy

There is need for alternative sour of energy as:
1) the non renewable sources are getting exhausted and can't be replenished..
2)the environment and atmosphere is affected by the use of conventional sources like fossil fuels...

conventional source of energy that we are using for a long time are generally non renewable...... and hence their reserves are depleting at a fast rate..... they include coal , petroleum, natural gas and electricity.. if we use them in long run then it may be not available for next generation....
