The rectangular slab doesn't act as prism or water molecules which disperses light due to it's higher refractive index

Aequanimitas: if i am correct i hope glasses have same refractive index
Manbir21: yeah
Aequanimitas: then how come u can say prism and rectangular slab has varying indices
Manbir21: prism has inclined surface but slab does not provide such consequences thus it may be reason
Aequanimitas: i think the answer is that the prism has a peculiar shape which helps in the dispersion
Aequanimitas: correct me if i am wrong
Manbir21: i think you are correct
Aequanimitas: yeah thanks. bye bro prepare well for ur exams
Manbir21: welcome .. same to u if you are in same grade

CONSIDER A GLASS SLAB AS TWO TRIALNGLES

THE TWO TRIANGLES MAKE TWO RIGHT ANGLE PRISM

HENCE NEWTON S LAW OF DISPERSION OF LIGHT IN TWO PRISMS THE SCATTERING OF LIGHT BY PRISM IS REVERSED OR NULLIFIED BY THE SECOND PRISM

HENCE NO SPLITTING OF LIGHT TAKES PLACE.

Manbir21: bro is its about inclined surface
