Why is there no hydrogen bonding in methoxymethane?

these hydrogen's cannot hydrogen bond the reason for that is because they're not attached to an electronegative element. so our hydrogen bond is going to be between the oxygen with a lone pair of electrons. and the hydrogen or another molecule the hydrogen bond goes through the lone pair of electrons toward

In methoxymethane, the lone pairs on the oxygen are still there, but the hydrogens aren't sufficiently δ+ for hydrogen bonds to form. Except in some rather unusual cases, the hydrogen atom has to be attached directly to the very electronegative element for hydrogen bonding to occur.
