Why is there no intreraction between particles in an ideal gas?

Particles in an ideal gas collide elastically (no energy loss in collisions.) ... In an Ideal Gas, the molecule and wall collisions are perfectly elastic with no loss in kinetic energy. It should be noted that such perfect collisions are electrostatic charge force interactions in nature and not an actual physical contacts.
