The planets like mars and  venus do not have atmosphere. Thus they can not regulate the surrounding temperature. The temperature of such planets can be extremely warm during day time and extremely  low during night. Also water and other essential things for existence for life are not present on these planets.

Hey friend
There is no life on Mars and Venus because there are no favorable conditions for life.
