Why is there no net release of carbon dioxide from green plants during daytime?

Plants give out carbon dioxide not only at night but during the day too. It happens because of the process of respiration in which plants take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. As soon as the sun rises another process called photosynthesis starts, in which carbon dioxide is taken in and oxygen is given out.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!

Answer:

Though plants release carbon dioxide during the day yet it is not released out. This is because carbon dioxide generated during daytime is used by the plants in the process of photosynthesis. While using CO2 in the presence of sunlight, they produce glucose and oxygen thus counterbalancing CO2 release.
