This because the trees are powerful enough to absorb the sound.

There are usually less people in and around a forest. So what makes sound pollution, which is noise of machinery, high frequency sound, sound of vehicle horn, and other robotic sound are not available in a forest and forest around area.
The slight sounds originated from forest gets absorbed by trees and shrubs.
There is no urban set up usually around the forest and that makes it a no-pollution area.
