why is trachea supported by cartilaginous rings?? Explain

Cartilage is strong but flexible tissue. The tracheal cartilages help support the trachea while still allowing it to move and flex during breathing. It helps to pass the food into oesophagus.

Trachea is supported by cartilaginous so that trachea do not collapse when there is not much air .
