Why is tungsten metal used to make the filament of the bulb ?

This wire is called a filament. The filament is the part of the light bulb that produces light. Filaments in incandescent light bulbs are made of tungsten. When electric current goes through the filament, the filament glows.

It is used to make a filament of bulb becoz , Tungsten have high melting points. they do not oxidised and they have high thermal and electrical conductivity.
