why is tungsten used almost exclusively for filament of incandescent lamps?​

Tungsten is used in filament of electric bulb and lamps because tungsten is a metal which has high melting point 3,422 °C and we know that electricity causes heating , therefore due to high temperature the tungsten does not melt .
