Why is uniform circular motion not uniform motion

When an object is moving in a circular motion,it's direction is changing at every instant of time. This means that it's velocity is changing(though the magnitude is gonna be the same)
Now we know that change in velocity is acceleration. Thus motion in a circular path is an accelerated motion.
Therefore it is not uniform motion but 'uniform circular motion'
I hope this helps :)

When an object follows a circular path at a constant speed ,the motion of the object is called uniform circular motion.
The word "uniform" refers to speed , which is uniform (constant) throughout the motion.
