Why is Union list considered more important than the State list ?

✒ $<b>Union list</b>$ is the list in which laws are made by the Central government ,i.e., by the Parliament which means by the Government of India as a whole .

✒ $<b>State list</b>$ is the list in which laws are individually made by the states of India for their own betterment which does not include the poking in of other states .

So , as a whole the Union list is the set of laws for the whole of India and thus , it is considered more important .
