why is unsaturated hydrocarbon is more reactive then saturated hydrocarbons

Unsaturated bonds are more reactivedue to the presence of pi overlapping whereas the saturated bonds have sigma overlapping due to which they are more strong and so less reactive. Since unsaturated hydrocarbonscontain pi bonds which is easy to break i.e., it has less bond dissociation energy .
