Large fertile plains - UP is well irrigated by mighty rivers like Gangaji, Yamuna, Ghaghra, Gomti etc. They carry a large amount of silt from mountain which get deposited to plains of UP making it very fertile where anything can grow.

Answer:

the population of a particular region is high since from the start then , it is obvious that it would grow more high in coming years owing to its fertile lands and favourable climates. 2. Illiteracy is also the reason behind the population of Uttar Pradesh. People don't know the idea of Family planning.
