Why is Voltmeter always connected parallel in the circuit?

here's your answer...
»This is because voltmeter has a high resistance so that it take negligible current through the circuit and thats why it is connected in parallel so that it can measure potential difference between two points and one more reason is that if we join it in series then it only can be connected to one point and that cause short circuit cause of no flow of electricity through it.
