It was formed when the earth cooled after millions of years and these two gases i.e the hydrogen and the oxygen reacted or you can say their atoms reacted and formed H2O or water..It is found almost everywhere like in the atmosphere in seas, oceans , lakes and other aquatic bodies , under ground as ground water , rain etc...except deserted areas
