Fire is not extinguishing by petrol and elelctric because the petrol has less density as compared to density of water this the petrola flots on water this the fire is not extinguished .

Similarly the water is a good conductor of electronicity when the person puts water on it he may get shock this could kill him .

Hence water is not used for extinguishing fire in petrol and electricity.
