why is water not used in controlling electrical fires

As we know that water is a very good conductor of electricity so it has a high tendency to carry electricity which can be harmful, therefore it is not used in controlling electrical fire.

Because water can also conduct electricity as it is a conductor. Therefore if we will use water to stop electric fire then it can cause more destruction.
