Why is water not used in controlling electrical fires

Water is not used for controlling electrical fires because water is a good conductor of electricity . Thus it might be dangerous and you may get an electric shock. Therefore always sand is used to control electric fires as it is an insulator and do not conduct electricity.

hello friend ... here is Ur answer .....as we know that water is a good conductor of heat and electricity. but the person controlling the fire may get electric shock .. water can also damaged the electrical equipment.. so water is not used in controlling electrical fires...
