Water used in room coolers because -

The water has a high level of latent heat which means to change the physical state of the water ,we need high amount of heat.

That's why water is also used in room coolers, because the water gets it's high amount of latent heat from the room heat and gets evaporated.

In this way,the room temperature goes downs and the unwanted heat is absorbed by the water.

Similarly, the water is also used in the hot water bags because -

The latent heat of water is higher than most of the common liquids which means a particular amount of water can retain more heat energy than any other liquid which can be useful to maintain the high temperature of the hot bag for long time.

Water used in room coolers and hot water bags because to the high amount of latent heat of water.

Explanation:

  • Water is a physical quantity which has a high amount of latent heat in it which keeps itself in the same physical state as compared to that of others.
  • The water receives a high amount of latent heat from room heat and gets evaporated.
  • In this way, the room temperature goes downs and the unwanted heat is absorbed by the water.
  • It does not change its state easily with the change in temperature. It is used in air coolers because it keeps the room cool in summers.
  • And used in hot water / warm water is used in hot water bags to maintain its temperature and give a better outcome.
