Why is water wet ?

This is an illogical question because water itself is not wet.

When an object comes in contact with water it becomes wet. Water can hence be called a liquid that is responsible for wetting other objects but itself it is not wet.

Similarly any fluid is not wet.

However the fluid makes other objects wet.

Wetness is just a sensation experienced by our brain when some liquid comes in contact with our body.

Now you can yourself judge what to call wet and what not to call wet .

Hence no fluid is wet !

Answer:-

Water isn't wet because it is a liquid that wets things. Once you come into contact with water you become wet. Until then water is liquid and you are dry.

Hope it helps ♥
