✌The wheat requiire 50-100 cm of rainfall for growth. The moderate rainfall from western disturbances is ideal for its cultivation, therefore it is mostly grown in northern plains
✌The soil with loamy texture and small water holding capacity is best for its cultivation.So,most of all the black cotton soil and the alluvial soil is mostly suited for this purpose. Whereas the southern and eastern india have laterite and red soil .
It is a main reason that wheat is not grown there.
