Answer:

Woolen clothes contains a large amount of trapped air. Since air is a bad conductor of heat it does not allow the body heat to flow out, as a result of which, we feel warm and comfortable.

Wool is used for making winter clothing because wool is bad conductor of heat. Air trapped between the wool fibres, prevents the flow of heat from our body to the cold surroundings.

Wool is used to make garments used in winters because it insulates the body from the surrounding. And the air which is trapped in between the wool fibers; prevents the flow of heat from our body to the cool surrounding. As air is the bad conductor of heat too it also insulates the body with wool. The structure of the wool fibre causes thousands of tiny pockets to form in wool fabric. In cold weather these trap body heat like thick blanket does. Those air pockets mean that air can flow through the fabric, allowing the body to cool itself through the evaporation of sweat.
