Zaire basin is a large river basin and one of the largest rivers in the world. Zaire is a natural reserve for hardwood such as mahogany, ebony and rosewood.  

It is also called the gigantic natural zoo because it not only consists of impenetrable thick green forest, it also consists of a huge variety of wildlife which includes

·         Gorillas, hippopotamuses, variety of snakes, monkeys and frogs.

·         A range of colourful birds and insects.

·         It also has giraffes, lions, leopards and elephants among others.
