\textbf{Answer:}

✔After independence, Zimbabwe was ruled by \textbf{ZANU-PF}, this was a party which won every election. It's leader was \textbf{Robert Mugabe} who was known to use many unfair practices in elections.

✔ZANU-PF declared all the public protests illegal. Televisions and radios also were controlled by ruling party and gave news only in the favour of the ruling party.

✔They also harassed newspapers journalists who went against them. They also ignored court judgements against them and pressurised the judges.

✔In this case, \textbf{Zimbabwe} cannot be called a \textbf{democratic country} as there is no basic right for citizens, no political opposition, no judiciary.
