why isn't moon falling?

In the current two-body system of the Earth and the Moon, the distance is gradually increasing. And due to this the Earth's rotational speed is decreasing (conservation of angular momentum).So, moon doesn’t fall on earth.Also moon is in a specific orbit where it always moves along the tangent at the specific point and hence moves in a circular orbit around the earth.
