Why isotopes have same chemical properties and different physical properties?

Isotopes are elements with same atom but different number of protons...
As the number of protons increases it's atomic mass also increases.
But the number of neutrons remains same and so does number of electrons...
So there is a higher force of attraction or repulsion between electrons and protons...
Due to these factors they have different physical properties...
Examples:
C¹⁴ and C ¹²
