if we assume NaCl is added to colloidal solution of Fe(OH)3 ,if ferric hydroxide is positive sol then then charge of it is neutralize and precipitation of colloidal solution take place.

Answer:

Coagulation takes place when sodium chloride solution is added to a colloidal solution of hydrated ferric oxide.

→ The reason is that colloidal particles interact with ions (Na+,Cl-) carrying charge opposite to that present on themselves. This causes neutralisation of charges leading to their coagulation.
