(i) There are still some places in India where snow fall occurs . Example :- Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, some places in Uttarakhand etc.
(ii) When we move away from equator temperature decreases so snow fall occurs as well as high altitude also responsible for low temperature ,so there also snow fall occurs .
Since India is near equator (northern hemisphere) so north of the India snowfall occurs . But other places neither are far away from equator nor have high altitude .That's why many places in India doesn't recieve snowfall .
