why it is advised that spoon should not be placed in pickle jar

we do not put stainless steel spoons in pickle jars because pickles are acid in nature and stainless steel is metal ,being acid pickles can react with metals that is stainless steel spoon. So to avoid corrosion and degradation of spoon we do not keep it in pickle jars

Spoon is made of steel an alloy of iron and carbon. When it is placed in pickle jar it gets react with the acids present in pickle and this reaction thus spoil the pickle.
